Ways to play Lemmings 1,2,3....

As well as playing these classics games on their original systems they were written for, most people tend to flog old hardware in favour of new and and such any new audience of this classic game dwindles....although of course Team 17 updated the game for release on the Sony Playstation 2, 3 and PSP, the best way to play Lemmings still is with the original versions, we have a brief guide to show what new systems can emulate the old systems to play the original Lemmings on....

PC/Mac/Linux - I won't go into much detail here because as you would expect most and if not all the classic systems can be emulated on these platforms.
Amiga/Atari ST - Of course already home to the original version there are also various emulators available for these systems for some of the lower CPU systems.

Homebrew handhelds - GP32 / GP2X / Pandora / Wiz / A-320 / Caanoo
GP32 - Emulators for - Amstrad CPC / C64 / Spectrum / Atari Lynx / Atari ST / Gameboy / Gameboy Color / GBA / Game Gear / Master System / Megadrive / NES / SNES...
Gp2X - Emulators for - (as Gp32) plus Sam Coupe, PC Engine CD, limited Amiga, PC DOS, PS1...
A-320 - Emulators for - Gameboy / NES / SNES / Megadrive - more expected probably same as GP2X.
Wiz- Emulators for - (as Gp2X) plus full speed Amiga, PS1....
Pandora - Emulators for - (as Wiz)
Caanoo - Emulators for - (as Wiz)

Commercial Handhelds - Gizmondo / GBA / Nintendo DS / PSP
Gizmondo - Emulators for - (as Gp2X)
GBA - Emulators for - Gameboy / Gameboy Color / Game Gear / Master System / NES / PC Engine CD / Spectrum / SNES........plus homebrew version.
Nintendo DS -
Emulators for - (as GBA) plus Amstrad CPC / C64 / Megadrive..........plus THE best homebrew version ever!
Sony PSP -
Emulators for - (as GP2X)
iPhone/Ipod Touch - Emulators for - Gameboy / Gameboy Color / GBA / Megadrive / NES / PC Engine CD / Limited PS1...

Commercial Consoles - Dreamcast / PS2 / Xbox / Wii

Sega Dreamcast - Emulators for - Amstrad CPC / C64 / Spectrum / Amiga 500/ Atari Lynx / Atari ST / GB / GBC / GBA / Game Gear / Master System / Megadrive / NES / SNES / PC DOS / PC Engine CD...
Sega Saturn - Emulators for - Atari Lynx / Gameboy / Master System / SNES...
Microsoft Xbox- Emulators for - (as Dreamcast) plus - PS1 / X68000....
Nintendo Gamecube - Emulators for - GB / GBC / GBA / Master System / Game Gear / Megadrive / NES / SNES...
Nintendo Wii - Emulators for (as Gamecube) plus - Amiga / Atari Lynx / C64 / Spectrum....
Sony PS2 -
Emulators for - (as Dreamcast) minus - Lynx...
Sony PS3 - Emulators for - Amiga 500/1200/ Atari Lynx / GB / GBC / GBA / Game Gear / Master System / Megadrive / NES / SNES / PC Engine CD...and more will follow....

All have various degree's of ease of getting emulators to work on them, some need flash cards, others burning files to a CD/DVD or putting files onto a SD card, some even need modding (i.e soldering a chip into the machine!), your best bet is to google emulation on the system you want to to get started...
